We are seeking an experienced D365 Functional Consultant to join our dynamic team, focusing on enhancing and customizing our financial processes within Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O). This critical role involves optimizing complex billing, invoicing, and financial workflows to ensure smooth and efficient processes across the organization. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for managing financial operations from billing processes to collections, bank reconciliation, and interfacing with external financial partners.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of D365 F&O, with the ability to handle both billing and finance-specific challenges in a highly customized environment. This role is key to ensuring seamless integration of finance operations with our broader business objectives, providing both technical expertise and functional insights.
Key Responsibilities

2. Finance & Collections Management
Advanced Collections Process Customization: Customize D365 F&O collect processes to go beyond the standard out-of-the-box functionalities, implementing solutions tailored to unique business needs. This includes setting up tailored workflows for debt collection that align with internal and external financial protocols.
Bank Reconciliation: Manage and streamline bank reconciliation processes, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions and alignment with organizational requirements. Familiarity with handling interbank items in transit (IBIT) will be key to managing these processes effectively.
External Partner Integration: Collaborate with external outsourcing partners by implementing and maintaining bank interfaces within D365 F&O. This involves configuring and supporting robust interfaces that allow for accurate, real-time data exchange with external banking systems.
Collections, Bank Statements, and Payment File Management: Oversee the accurate processing of collections, bank statements, and payment files. You will develop and maintain processes to handle payment reconciliation, ensuring data integrity and financial accuracy within D365 F&O.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support
Cross-Team Collaboration: Act as a liaison between the finance department and IT teams to ensure that system customizations align with both technical and functional requirements. Work closely with key stakeholders to understand evolving financial needs and customize D365 F&O accordingly.
Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Identify issues within D365 F&O financial modules and proactively implement solutions to streamline workflows. Your problem-solving skills will be essential for overcoming technical challenges in the billing and finance processes.
