Finance Analyst - St James's Park, London (4 days in office, 1 day Remote) - £40k-£50k + Study Support

 Overview

My client in the property industry is currently seeking a commercially minded Finance Analyst to join their dynamic FP&A team. In this role, you'll act as a strategic link between finance and the wider business, supporting key decision-makers with insights that drive performance and long-term value. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment where your analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to communicate clearly will help shape both short- and long-term financial strategies.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Business Partner with Internal and External stakeholders.

  • Support the FP&A team in preparing annual budgets and forecasts, including commercial KPI planning and scenario analysis.

  • Assist with internal reporting and the preparation of operational packs for senior leadership.

  • Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of accruals, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.

  • Maintain the site investment tracker, monitor project completion dates, assess capitalisable spend, and reconcile the fixed asset register.

  • Provide financial insights to support pricing strategies, renewals, and overall commercial decision-making.

  • Assist with inputs into half-yearly valuations and year-end financial reporting.

  • Perform ad-hoc financial modelling to inform strategic initiatives and improve financial performance.

  • Support the management of the SQL database, ensuring data integrity through proper pipeline maintenance and involvement in system upgrades.

  • Update and manage DAX measures and contribute to the ongoing development of the Power BI reporting suite.

  • Demonstrate strong Excel modelling and PowerPoint skills; prior FP&A or commercial finance experience is preferred.

  • Communicate effectively with financial and non-financial stakeholders, simplifying complex data and insights.

  • Show a strong willingness to learn technical systems including SQL, DAX, and Power BI.

  • Thrive under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and bring an ambitious, detail-focused mindset to the team.

This is a really exciting opportunity for a commercial finance professional to join a growing organisation that can offer you a good level of career progression and exposure to all areas of FP&A and Business partnering as well as some exposure to BI tools including SQL and Power BI.
