Finance Business Partner - 12 Month FTC - Central London (upto 2 days in office, 3 days remote) - £70k-£75k
This role is for a PE backed business, split across 3 assets, where you will be responsible for Businesses Partnering with 3 MD's.
Role Overview
This role will support key business units by providing strategic financial guidance, analysis, and reporting to drive business performance. The successful candidate will partner with leadership teams to ensure informed decision-making, effective financial planning, and the achievement of strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted business partner, embedding yourself in the decision-making process to support, test, and advise on strategic initiatives. Provide valuable insight to leadership teams across multiple business units.
- Deliver financial analysis and insights that connect financial outcomes to strategic goals.
- Lead the monthly reforecasting and annual budgeting processes, highlighting potential risks and opportunities.
- Improve the clarity and impact of financial reporting, ensuring it effectively reflects business performance.
- Identify and communicate financial risks and opportunities to key stakeholders.
- Provide detailed analysis on revenue and profit trends, key performance indicators (KPIs), and outlooks for the financial year.
- Prepare clear, concise commentary for senior stakeholders, explaining the rationale behind financial outcomes.
- Collaborate with department leads to develop KPIs, bonus plans, and commission structures that drive performance and behaviour.
- Oversee compensation calculations for company-wide commission and bonus plans, assessing and reporting on performance.
- Take ownership of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) for the business domain, supporting senior leadership with both recurring and ad-hoc financial and strategic requests.
- Manage the preparation of budget presentations, monthly financial updates, and management reporting.
- When required, lead financial due diligence for potential M&A activities, including managing data room populations and conducting necessary financial analysis for disposals.
- Collaborate proactively across various teams within the group, working with both finance and non-finance stakeholders to ensure alignment and drive business performance.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA)
- At least 2 years of experience in business partnering
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, with a strong focus on detail for Executive/Board-level audiences
- Experience in private equity environments (preferred but not essential)
- Background in long-term financial planning and forecasting
- Experience creating and implementing financial metrics into forecasting processes
