Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant to join one of our high growth clients in the wokingham area. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting both the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has experience in both areas and is looking to further develop their career in a dynamic and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified or in the early stages of ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable:

Process purchase ledger invoices accurately and efficiently.

Perform supplier statement reconciliations to ensure accurate payment records.

Handle supplier queries and resolve any discrepancies promptly.

Assist in the preparation of payment runs.

Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies.
Accounts Receivable:

Generate and issue sales invoices.

Reconcile customer accounts and follow up on outstanding payments.

Investigate and resolve customer queries in a timely manner.

Maintain and update accounts receivable records.

Assist in credit control activities as required.
General Finance Support:

Support month-end and year-end financial processes.

Assist with financial reporting and audits.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data accuracy.

Provide general administrative support to the finance team.
Requirements

Proven experience in both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.

AAT qualified or actively studying towards ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.

Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar).

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
