Position: Capital and Fixed Asset Manager

Location: Basingstoke (Hybrid)

Salary: £75,000 - £80,000 + Discretionary bonus + up to 12% pension

 

About Our Client

I am currently partnering with an industry-leading group in the housing sector to recruit a Capital and Fixed Asset Manager. This hands-on role carries senior responsibility for managing a £7 billion fixed asset register within a large-scale group.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Overseeing a team of four responsible for maintaining the fixed asset register and balance sheet reporting, including contributions to the annual financial statements and submissions to regulatory bodies.
  • Coordinating the annual external audit process for fixed assets in collaboration with the Head of Financial Accounting to ensure timely audit sign-off.
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders, up to an executive level, to provide capital accounting advice and influence decision-making.
  • Designing and updating comprehensive capitalisation policies for the group to align with the latest accounting standards (FRS) and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating to establish and maintain a robust financial control framework for fixed assets across all entities.
  • Preparing regular reports and summaries to support statutory, regulatory, and other external reporting needs.

 

Necessary Requirements

  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified.
  • Experience in a group or blue-chip organization.
  • Strong technical background.
  • Excellent communication skills, with extensive experience in senior stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid setup with on-site presence in Basingstoke.
