Group Financial Controller 

Location: Oxford (Hybrid)
Department: Finance
Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 per annum + Bonus + Benefits

 

I'm currently partnering with one of the largest and most exciting organisations in their industry on the recruitment of a senior level group financial reporting professional to join their Group Finance team in Oxfordshire. The role is operating at a Group FC level overseeing group level consolidations of UK & International entities as well as driving change and process improvements. They are looking for someone who comes from a Group environment and used to working within a matrix organisation. You will have proven experience running consolidations and used to working within tight reporting deadlines.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the finance team of 4, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to provide financial insights and business strategy recommendations.
  • Oversee group financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Develop and implement robust financial controls, policies, and procedures across the group.
  • Lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements and management reports.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate statutory reporting, tax compliance, and audits

 

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is essential.
  • Team management experience required.
  • Experience in managing group-level finance functions, consolidations, and multi-entity reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, tax regulations, and financial compliance.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and ERP software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
