Management Accountant - £35-42k - Blackburn (Office Based)
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will collaborate with experienced and knowledgeable senior finance partners and accountants. This is the perfect opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to elevate their finance career.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all balances are correct and differences investigated.

Produce and post key journals, including accruals, prepayments, accrued and deferred income.

Support the commercial finance team with information and performance analysis for decision-making at the local level.

Develop robust processes and controls to manage risks in line with Group requirements.

Assist in producing accurate monthly and quarterly flash results for Financial Planning and Commercial teams.

Support the year-end statutory audit process.

Undertake ad hoc projects as required by the Finance Director or Financial Controller.

Manage the Fixed Asset Register, ensuring timely postings on asset acquisition/disposal.

Work with Transaction Services (AP/AR/Banking) to ensure a smooth month-end process.

Support variance and trend analysis by site and GL line item.
Candidate Requirements:

Qualified accountant ACCA/CIMA/ACA or a part-qualified accountant with relevant experience.

Great attention to detail.

Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Experienced in Microsoft Excel.

Ability to adapt and respond to changing priorities.
